अस्मादिकांनी एकदा शाळेत, _“सर, प्लीज… आज ऑफ तास द्या ना! खेळायला सोडा ना…”_ असा हट्ट केला.
तेव्हा इंग्रजी शिकवत असलेल्या सरांनी एक जबरदस्त 'गुगली' टाकली… ते म्हणाले,
सगळ्यांनी ‘One Two Three…’ अशी आकड्यांची स्पेलिंग्ज लिहायची. जेव्हा कोणत्याही आकड्याच्या स्पेलिंगमध्ये पहिल्यांदा ‘A’ हे अक्षर येईल ना… लग्गेच खेळायला जा!”
थोड्याच वेळात _‘सौदा घाटे का है…’_ हे माझ्या लक्षात आलं.
“बाळा, हजारपर्यंत ‘Thousand’ हे स्पेलिंग लिहिपर्यंत मध्ये कुठंही ‘A’ येत नाही बरं…!”
आणि Grammer शिकवण्याकरता फळ्याकडे वळले.....!
